Vader I proves itself: Mobile brush washing is a viable method of washing a fleet of trailers, buses or train cars large or small.
The Vader I Mobile Brush Wash System has been around for 15 years and has more than proved it can do the job. Companies like Amtrak (Oakland) have taken delivery of their second piece of equipment, (Amtrak's fifth, nation wide) because it is keeping up with the demand and performing well under rigorous train schedules.
Erin Hill of Vader I Pressure Cleaners says his now second Vader I Series 5000 in twelve years "has held up great and I am really working it hard. My first Vader was used every week and it did well but I have had different clients with this second one and it has done great. I have now been in buisness seventeen years using the Vader I sucessfully all that time."
Ken Noe of Grocer Supply just took delivery of his second Vader I after trading in a seven year old model that had served his business well, washing a fleet of nearly 700 trailers. Vader I has shown that washing on the lot instead of in a wash by is a good option for many companies and with it's Patented Catch and Reclaim inboard System, it should keep you in compliance with the EPA.
Burenger Trucking in Wichita, KS was one of JIM Mfg.'s first customers in 1989. They have just purchased their fourth Vader I. They claim it has kept their fleet looking good, pleasing to their customers. They have updated about every six years and use the equipment almost every day - summer, fall, winter and spring. Some companies like Frock Bros. Trucking, MD and Keyboard Cartage, KY have kept their original equipment working for as long as nineteen years with some repairs and updating. Vader I can wash as many as five to ten trailers per hour and it can do it all day, everyday, with only one person on the payroll. Ken Noe says it works best to have one person in charge of maintenance and operation of the equipment; any major repairs can be handled by the mechanics. Steve of Sparkle Wash purchased his second Vader I Series 5000 for his thriving contract washing business in Wisconsin because he landed a contract with a large fleet and needed the capabilities the Vader I offered him to get the job done with little payroll.
The equipment is designed to be operated easily by one person. It is powered by a diesel or gas engine, which powers the hydraulics that powers the unit's operations. The water system is powered by a pressure washer pump for both high and low pressures to accomplish the washing. Tanks for the chemicals, water and fuels are inboard and keep the unit completely self-contained. It can wash, then capture the run off water, filter it, and use it over again making it possible to was up to twenty full size 53' trailers with only one fill of 230 gallons of water.
Direct Line Trucking in IL purchased their second Vader after seven years of using a standard Series 4000 and moved up to the Series 5000 reclaim and reuse unit. The Vader I has been a good addition to fleet washing companies, equipment because of its portability and self-contained features. It also made it possible for the contract washer to brush wash many trailers quickly with a few employees.
Other optional features of the Vader I are hot water, enclosed cab, light package, and cab ventilation.
